  30. Ethernet adapters on both systems. TCP/IP and NFS software on both systems.
  31. There are numerous options for both. But I would warn anyone against
  32. considering the NT-NFS code from Process Software if you are using the
  33. Amiga AS225 NFS software. Process has been trying to get it to work for
  34. nearly a month and has thus far failed dismally. Its unfortunate since
  35. this is the least expensive NFS code for NT Alpha.

  40. Yes, although there are some limitation compared to having the drive directly
  41. connected to the Amiga.

  46. No, not unless you find some NFS server software for the Amiga (there isn't
  47. any currently available that I know of). Of course everything will work fine
  48. going in the other direction however.

  57. Almost completely trivially, far more easily than adding the Amiga. C= was
  58. absolutely braindead when it came to networked (they saw no reason for it).

  63. You will have to have seperate copies for each platform. As for running LW
  64. across multiple similar platforms, I'm not sure how thats handled in the
  65. shipping version. I can do it in my beta version, but it doesn't require
  66. a dongle either.

  75. No. I have always considered this a stupid idea for small networks. Full
  76. peer to peer networking makes so much more sense. But because there is a
  77. lack of NFS server software for the Amiga, you will likely end up working
  78. in that mode anyway. And you will probably keep all your LW files on one
  79. system that is shared with the rest. But there is no reason why all data
  80. must be kept on one server.

  85. No, for the reason I mentioned above. But there is no need to. Save it to
  86. the PC disk. Then the Amiga can access it as though it were its own disk.
  87. What you lose is the ability to save directly to the Amiga PAR.
